Pasta with Sweet Italian Sausage and Swiss Chard

imageIt’s a simple dish but ooooh so good! My daughter made this for our dinner tonight❤️

RECIPE:

4 to 6 sweet Italian sausage, casings removed

1 large bunch or 2 small bunches of white or red Swiss chard,cleaned and chopped

2 tablesp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 1/2 cups of chicken stock, divided

salt and pepper to taste

1 lb. short “fancy” pasta

parmeasan cheese as desired

In lg. skillet heat olive oil and add sausage, cook till browned breaking into chunks. Add garlic and sauté till soft and fragrant. Now add cleaned, chopped Swiss chard, sauté till wilted and incorporate it with the sausage and garlic. Pour 1/2 of chicken stock into sausage mixture and season with salt and pepper to your taste, let simmer.

In the meantime cook pasta as directed to your liking. Once pasta is done, drain well and add sausage, Swiss chard mixture to it adding the other 1/2 of the chicken stock and toss together. Season with salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese to taste. Serve immediately! ❤️
