Mom’s Banana Bread

imageThis Banana Bread has been made hundred of times by my myself, my mom and my grandmother, it’s so moist and delicious everyone loves it!  It’s simple and easy even adding fruit and/or nuts make it better❤️


1 stick Butter, (1/2 cup) softened

2/3 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup sour Cream

1 1/2 cup flour

2 teasp baking powder

1/2 teasp baking soda

1/4 teasp salt

1 cup ripe mashed bananas (about 3)

1 teasp vanilla

Mix by hand butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time till blended. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Mix all dry ingredients together then add to wet ingredients with the bananas. Stir all together till blended well, fold in nuts or fruit as desired. Place in well greased loaf pan and bake at 325 degrees for 60-70 mins.till golden brown and toothpick comes out clean. Once bread is done let sit in pan to cool on a rack for about 20 mins then turn out of pan to continue to cool on rack. Enjoy sliced warm or cold❤️
