One Crust Free Form Apple Tart 🍎

Long ago a Dear friend made one of these pies for me when I brought her apples that I had picked and needless to say i loved it so much I’ve been making this simple and delicious dessert ever since when Apple season & fall comes around. Not too big with only one crust makes this Apple pie something anyone can really make for a quick get together or just for the two of you🍎

1 Homemade or store bought pie crust

4 to 5 large tart apples, peeled, cored & thin sliced

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 tablesp cinnamon

2 tablesp Butter

sprinkle of nutmeg

Confectionary sugar to sprinkle on top when Tart is cool

Place pie crust onto ungreased cookie sheet. Thin Slice apples as you would for a Apple Pie and then place them in a circle around bottom of crust overlapping each slice till you reach middle…Leave about an inch of crust from the edge to fold over. Mix sugar, cinnamon & a pinch of nutmeg together and sprinkle all of it over the apples. Dot apples with the butter and then turn sides of the crust up onto apples along the tarts edge.

Bake @ 425 degrees for 15 mins… then reduce heat to 375 degrees for 25 – 30 mins. When done, apples should be soft. Cool on rack and when cold sprinkle all over Tart with confectionary sugar. Cut as pie and serve with your favorite ice cream! Enjoy❤️

Heated up just a tiny bit and presented with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and this becomes a celebratory dessert. Quick. Easy. Delicious!
